Baby rabies. That is what my friend calls it.
The world population is 6,800,000,000. It is a pretty closed loop system. I mean energy comes in from the sun but we loose heat to space. A couple of good size rocks bring a little more minerals to the planet, but we send stuff up into space. We can only make so much waste before we start drowning in it.
With this in mind I don't understand the all consuming obsession with eggs going without fertilization. I talk with a nice, intelligent girl. The conversation gets to this subject and it is like they become a republicrat on a juicy talking point.
Logic and truth be damned. Eyes glaze over, picture(s) of the ring/ dress/ or prefect honeymoon spot come out. The mantra "I want a ring, my day, and someone with my mitochondrial DNA following me around, yesterday!!!!!" begins. There is no bringing them back until they decide to leave the highest tower of the castle.
We as a society just wrap selfishness and jealousy in a pretty bow and call it love. Media manipulates those feelings to sell us a dream of "happily ever after" fueled by consumer bliss.
To further enforce this system, we are trained to be jealous from an early age. No, you can only have one best friend, you can only take one toy to grandmas, vanilla or chocolate you can't have both. No one will ever love you like that little bundle of DNA that is covered in bio hazard and a pink and blue blanket.
Can't we apply a little logic to this subject. If we don't nature or our "betters" will find a cure for this virus. One child per family anyone.
Oink, oink. Carry on.
